Description

Welcome to the Forge introduction to pottery course, open to all ages from 13yrs to adults. The class is designed for beginners or those of you who wish to return to an art you enjoyed in your past.

In this course, you will learn the fundamentals to be able to produce your own creations with shop lead and instructor Ike Santiago. Students will be instructed on how to use the pottery wheel, tools, clay preparation, and how to enjoy working with mud.

This is a one-day, three hour course focused on learning the fundamentals. Students will be able to return to the Forge to collect their pieces after they have been glazed and fired by staff.

*To be successful in throwing pottery, participants must have short fingernails.  Those with long fingernails may not be able to participate fully in this class*

There must be 2 people signed up for this class for it to run.  A Forge staff member will reach out to you the weekend before your class if a cancellation or rescheduling of your class is required.

Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by their parent or guardian for the entirety of the class.  Parents or guardians are not permitted to leave their minor at the Forge.

Cost: Forge Member - $65; Non-Member - $85
