This piece is an expression of my frustration with being sober in a non-sober society. Society promotes drinking and drug use as an essential part of living. This expectation can make those who abstain feel alienated or judged. The pressure to conform can be overwhelming, leading individuals living a sober lifestyle to feel angry, frustrated, and depressed. A hand is drowning in a sea of alcohol, impacted by those who choose to drink.
